REPORT: Wincanton 10k Road Run (2008)

Thanks to everyone who helped with the 10k, the preparation, the marshalling and the time keeping etc. Thanks to everyone who came and took part. Hopefully everyone enjoyed it.

If you did the 3k and didn’t get a T shirt please drop me a line at the centre. Certificates are being written and will be posted out early next week.

Wincanton 10K/3K Run/Walk (2008)
The date for the Wincanton 10K Run (2008) is confirmed for 29th June 2008, 11am Start. The course will be the same as the previous years and we will also be holding the 10k walk and the fun run as last year.

Swimathon 2008
Mark & Nikki would like to thank everyone who either swam or came in and counted other people swim for the Swimathon held at Wincanton Sports Centre on the 19th.

We had approx 25 Swimmers who all took part to help raise money for this years charity “Marie Curie Cancer Care”. This is the first year we have done Swimathon, which is a national event, and we have already signed up to do next years event.

Children in Need
Mark and Nikki would like to thank everyone who donated their time, money, raffle prizes or who baked cakes to support our first ever Children in Need event. So far we have raised £468 with some more still to come in. Everyone seemed to have fun, even those of us who did our 30 minutes or more on the bike (some of you, and you know who you are, came up with a variety of excuses to avoid their go!).

Wincanton's 6th annual 10km Road Run, Walk and 3km Fun Run took place on the morning of the 3rd of June.
